  • What days and times do you work?
Currently I work Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the afternoons and evenings.
  • Do therapists swear?
This one does! Ha ha. In all seriousness, I have found that this is dependent on the individual therapist. I am open about this part of myself, as I know that swearing is not everyone's cup of tea and I never want my client's to feel uncomfortable with me. This also ties in with finding the right therapist for you.
  • What insurance do you take?
I currently take Aetna, Anthem, Kaiser, Lifewise, Premera, and Regence.
  • Do you take private pay?
Yes! My private pay rate is $120 for a 53 minute session.
  • How do we meet for session?
I use Zoom and I will send you link for our session.
  • Do you do free consultation calls?
Yes! I do offer a free 15 minute consultation call. I feel that this helps me get to know a little about you and why you are seeking therapy. It also allows you to get to know me a little bit as well.
  • After the consultation call, what comes next?
Once we complete a free 15 minute consultation call, if we mutually agree to proceed I will have you reach out to the admin team of the co-op that I am a part of called Lycan Counseling Collective. I will give you their direct contact information and they will get you set up with a profile and set you up with all of our documents. Once your profile is complete we can begin sessions!
  • What is the best way to contact you?
You can message me from the contact box below. You can also email me directly at positiveconnectionstherapy@gmail.com or you can call or text me at (425) 345-0232. Depending on my life schedule I may get back to you outside of my normal work days (Tue-Thu), but otherwise I will definitely respond to you during my designated work days.
  • What if I have a question that is not listed here?
If you have a question that is not listed here, please don't hesitate to reach out through the website form, email, phone, or text (all contact information can be found on the Contact page). I'll be happy to assist you with any additional inquiries you may have.
  • This is my first time in therapy and I am unsure what to expect...
Welcome! Therapy can be so beneficial in the healing journey. The way that therapy flows the first session is always completing an intake. This is where as a therapist I get to know a little about you and what is currently bringing you to therapy. We will then collaborate on a treatment plan, defining your therapeutic goals. From there it really depends on the therapist, their style, and the client's goals. I always say that building trust with your therapist is so important. With that, at any point if you do not think I am a good fit for you, just let me know as I would be happy to assist you in finding the right fit. If we get to a point where I think you might benefit from a therapeutic modality that I am not trained in, I will also let you know and help you to find a therapist who is. This is about your healing journey and I am here to help in any way that I can.
  • Are you on call 24/7 and/or offer crisis support?
No. I am not on call 24/7 and I do not offer crisis support. If you are needing crisis support, and/or are a danger to yourself, and/or a danger to others, please reach out to 988 (suicide and crisis lifeline), 911, or go to your closest emergency room.
  • How do you collect deductibles, copays, and other fees?
I use IVY Pay, which is a HIPAA-secure app. Once we establish a therapeutic relationship you will get a text with a link to IVY Pay. There you will create your profile and upload your payment card (debit, credit, HSA, or FSA). Then when we have sessions I will process the payment and you will get a text stating that you have been charged.
