Currently I work Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the afternoons and evenings.
Yes! I do offer a free 15 minute consultation call. I feel that this helps me get to know a little about you and why you are seeking therapy. It also allows you to get to know me a little bit as well.
Once we complete a free 15 minute consultation call, if we mutually agree to proceed I will include you on an email along with the admin team of the collective that I am a part of called Lycan Counseling Collective. They will get you set up with a profile and all of the required documents. Then once your profile is complete we can begin sessions!
You can reach me through the contact form below, by email at positiveconnectionstherapy@gmail.com, or by call/text at (425) 345-0232. I typically respond during my work days (Tue–Thu), though depending on my schedule you may occasionally hear from me outside those hours.
I currently take Aetna, Anthem, Asuris Northwest Health, Kaiser, Lifewise, Premera, and Regence.
Yes, I do accept private/cash payments. My rate for an initial intake session is $175, and each 53-minute follow-up session is $150. As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) providing virtual therapy in Washington state, I strive to offer accessible and flexible payment options to meet the diverse needs of my clients. If you have any additional questions about payment or scheduling, please feel free to reach out to me directly.
I use Sessions Health both for our sessions and to collect deductibles, copays, and other fees. Part of setting up your profile with the admin team will required you to add a payment method(s) (i.e. debit, credit, HSA, or FSA). Then when we have sessions the system will charge you the appropriate amount.
Welcome! I understand that therapy can be a pivotal part of your healing journey and I am here to help. During your first session, we will begin with an intake process. I will use this time to get to know you better and understand what has brought you to therapy. We will discuss your current concerns and background to gather essential information. Following this, we will collaborate on developing a treatment plan tailored to your needs and define your therapeutic goals. This initial session sets the foundation for our work together, ensuring that your therapy is focused and effective in addressing your unique challenges.
I always emphasize the importance of building trust with your therapist. This trust is foundational to our work together. Should you ever feel that I may not be the right fit for your therapeutic needs, I encourage you to communicate this. I am more than happy to assist you in finding a therapist who better aligns with your requirements. Additionally, if we reach a point where I believe another therapeutic strategy or professional might be more beneficial for your progress, I will openly discuss these options to ensure you receive the most effective care. Your mental health and well-being are my top priorities, and I am committed to supporting you in finding the right therapeutic path.
Once you have onboarded and been placed on my schedule, you will be sent a link from Sessions Health for our session. Before the session, ensure you have a stable internet connection, a private and quiet space, and a device compatible with Sessions Health (like a smartphone, tablet, or computer). During the session, we will focus on your mental health concerns and collaboratively work towards achieving your therapy goals. Rest assured that all our sessions are confidential and conducted in a professional, supportive, and understanding environment.
I do! That said, it really depends on the individual therapist. Personally, I’m open about this aspect of who I am, while also being mindful that swearing isn’t for everyone. I never want a client to feel uncomfortable, so if a more informal style of communication doesn't align with your preferences, I may not be the best fit - and that’s completely okay. Finding the right therapist is all about what works best for you.
No, I am not available 24/7 and I do not provide crisis support. If you are in crisis, feeling unsafe, or are a danger to yourself or others, please contact the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988, call 911, or go to the nearest emergency room for immediate help.
If your question isn’t answered here, feel free to reach out via the website form, email, phone, or text. You can find all my contact details on the Contact page. I’ll be happy to help with any additional questions you may have.
