Welcome
Hello! My name is Kaylynn Parker (she/her). I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LW70028295) who’s been in the mental health field since 2022. I obtained my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California in 2021. My style is anything but cold or clinical—I bring my full, authentic self into the therapy room (and yes, that includes my love of the word fuck and a very expressive face that tends to say what I’m thinking long before I do).
I work with adults ages 18–60 navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, stress, and the messy realities of being human. My goal is to meet you where you are and walk alongside you as we process what’s coming up in your life.
My Focus & Lived Experience
For some folks, finding a therapist with shared lived experience feels important—I completely understand. Here’s a snapshot of the perspectives I carry with me into my work:
-
Woman, cisgender, white
-
Living with chronic illness and chronic pain
-
PTSD, depression, and anxiety
-
Combat veteran and former aircraft mechanic in the Air Force
-
Military spouse
-
Grew up in a one-parent household
-
Supporting friends/family through crisis
These experiences shape my empathy and help me build authentic rapport, especially with clients who have felt unseen or misunderstood in other settings.
Purpose of Therapy
Therapy is a journey unique to every individual. My role is to create a space where you feel safe enough to explore your identity, process trauma, improve your relationship with yourself and others, build healthier thought patterns, set and hold boundaries, strengthen resilience, and develop coping skills that actually work for you.
Sex therapy, in particular, can address concerns related to sexual health, intimacy, relationships, pleasure, and identity. This may include working through sexual trauma, shame, or cultural sexual messaging; navigating functioning or desire concerns; exploring identity, orientation, or gender expression; and amplifying pleasure, intimacy, and connection.
While sex therapy often involves open discussion, education, or reflection exercises, it never includes sexual activity during sessions. Since my practice is virtual, I also ask that clients remain fully clothed—whether you’re in pajamas or jeans is up to you, as long as you’re comfortable and appropriately covered.
My Therapeutic Approach
My specialties include trauma, anxiety, depression, and the messy, complex realities of being human. My approach is collaborative and grounded in a blend of modalities—primarily CBT, DBT, EMDR, parts work, and person-centered therapy—while weaving in other tools like solution-focused or mindfulness when helpful.
After completing my Certificate in Sex Therapy at Antioch University in 2025, I found deep passion in supporting clients around desire, pleasure, kink, porn, and other topics that too often get ignored or pathologized. I don’t shy away from tough conversations—whether it’s your relationship with your body, navigating shame, or unpacking the impact of end-stage capitalism and patriarchy. Healing work requires honesty, curiosity, and a space where you can bring your whole self. That’s the kind of space I aim to cultivate.

Beyond the Therapy Room
I believe therapy is about showing up authentically, and that includes me. I don’t shy away from humor, sarcasm, or naming the bigger systems (like end-stage capitalism or patriarchy) that can impact mental health. Outside of work, I recharge through travel, art projects, nature, cozy time at home, and the occasional video game session.
I’m also a visual thinker and love using analogies in session. Since I speak fluent millennial (and meme), don’t be surprised if a therapy takeaway shows up wrapped in humor, pop culture, or a reference you weren’t expecting.
If you’re ready to begin (or continue) your journey of healing and growth, I’d be honored to support you every step of the way.
